The Phase One 150-megapixel camera solution significantly simplifies the digitisation process; thanks to the faster workflow we can convert analogue archives to digital very quickly.

Historical aerial photographs make it possible to reconstruct the past and can therefore provide important information for future planning processes. Among the many other applications is the analysis of changes in land use over the decades, e.g. in terms of road and settlement development.

High accuracy and resolution, speed and minimal distortion

High-resolution digitisation of individual aerial photographs preserves on the analogue images all the information and fine detail needed to produce orthophotos.

Improved workflow with the Phase One 150-megapixel camera

With the Linos inspec.x L 4.0/100 mm lens and the Phase One copy stand, a resolution of 1,100 dpi at 150 megapixels has been proven not only in theory but in practical application.

The 4.0/100 mm lens consistently delivers excellent image quality. Thanks to its 1:5 scale and distortion-free rendering, this lens is ideal for digitising aerial photograph archives. The optics are fixed with screws and are not adjustable, so the desired repeatability and easy handling are guaranteed.

After setup, on-site training and the development of the optimal workflow, digitisation at two frames per second with 16-bit colour depth, and with the easy-to-use yet robust user interface of the Capture One CH software, makes it possible to digitise 500 aerial photographs.
