Process
How we work
Test capture
The work starts with a sample capture of your own material: it shows which equipment and settings are needed, and the tailored quote is based on it.
In the studio or on site
We work in our studio on Reitter Ferenc utca, and we also set up wherever the collection is.
Capture
We adapt the equipment and the conditions to the object, and document every item precisely.
Quality control
We check all digitised material against the quality indicators agreed in advance. Only material that meets them leaves the studio.
Delivery and archiving
We deliver the images in the format the client requires and, on request, help with archiving – with cloud storage, on a local server or on a physical medium.
Heritage archive
On request, the quality-checked master copies go into the Heritage digital archive: a searchable, browsable archive for institutions, preserved for the long term, where the material can be retrieved and viewed at any time.

Frequently asked questions
It depends on the quantity and condition of the material and on the technology required. One example: at the Batthyaneum Library (a branch of the National Library of Romania) in Alba Iulia we digitised about 6,000 manuscript pages in one week. For larger projects we provide a schedule after the test capture.
Both are possible: we work in our studio on Reitter Ferenc utca, and we also set up wherever the collection is, for example at the off-site store of the Ráday Collection or at the Batthyaneum Library in Alba Iulia.
We deliver it in the output format that meets the client’s requirements; a two-layer, searchable PDF can also be produced from bound material. The format is agreed at the test capture.
Pricing is custom and project-based: after the test capture we provide a tailored quote.
Tell us what kind of material it is and how much of it there is. A test capture will show you what you will get; then we will give you a tailored quote.
