Digitisation as a contract service

We do not only sell equipment: we also digitise for museums, libraries and archives, on a regular basis and on a project basis, in our Budapest studio or on location.

If you are not yet sure which solution suits your material, let’s start with a test capture of it. These pilot projects also make the technology accessible to those who have no means of acquiring their own system, or who would like to test it before buying.

How we work

From test capture to archive

  1. 01

    Test capture

“A test capture is worth more than the most eloquent specification.” The work starts with a sample capture of your own material, which shows what equipment and settings are needed.

  2. 02

In the studio or on site

We work in our studio on Reitter Ferenc utca, and we set up wherever the collection is: in the off-site store of the Ráday Collection, at the Otto von Habsburg Foundation or at the Batthyaneum Library (a branch of the National Library of Romania) in Alba Iulia.

  3. 03

    Capture under conservation rules

We adapt the conditions to the object: we photographed the Coronation Mantle in protective clothing, with dust-free equipment, under lighting below 25 lux.

  4. 04

    Delivery and publication

We deliver the images in the format the client requires. On request, we also publish them in searchable form in our own archive system, the Heritage digital archive.

If you acquire your own equipment, we see that through as well: assessment, installation, training, workflow and archive system. Our solutions by type of institution →

The goal of digitisation

Heritage

Everything humankind has created.

The Heritage digital archive: a platform for institutions where material can be researched and viewed, and a long-term, secure home for public and confidential documents, books, images and multimedia. This is where digitised material becomes truly usable: the master copies become searchable and browsable.
