Tripont’s staff took part in the 53rd Travelling Assembly (Vándorgyűlés) of the Association of Hungarian Librarians (hereafter MKE). The association has a long history. The organisation was founded in 1935 with the aim of taking an active part in shaping library policy and information-profession policy, and in preparing the legislation, government and other social decisions relating to them. In addition, to promote the cooperation, division of labour and organisation into a system of libraries. It also represents the interests of librarians and of those engaged in professional information activity. To this end the association holds debates, conferences, courses and other events.

For the first time since Covid, the MKE assembly was held in person this year. The conference began with a ceremonial opening. Then participants could hear professional presentations in parallel section sessions. During the breaks, visitors could view at the tables of the exhibiting companies the technical novelties of organisations dealing with digitisation, book restoration and conservation.

The team of Tripont Cultural Heritage Solutions also strengthened the ranks of exhibitors. Tripont’s studio is well equipped; from its frequently used equipment pool it exhibited a small, easily movable scanner. The CZUR can digitise various documents efficiently. Its use is especially recommended for libraries and archives, where readers and researchers want to digitise for home use the books they are currently researching or reading. The device’s intelligent software recognises the turning of a page and starts scanning automatically. It is even able to scan the curved pages of catalogues in such a way that the pages are rendered flat. Thanks to optical character recognition, the digitised text becomes searchable. The CZUR is simple to use and quick to learn. The device aroused great interest.
