On Saturday 23 September the joint MOME Open and Tripont Digitisation Specialist Training, DigiArchiv, got under way

The application period closed on 15 September, and extremely positive feedback was received. More people were interested in the programme than there were places available, and there was multiple oversubscription, which shows how great the demand for the training is.

The revolution in digital technology increasingly permeates the arts and cultural sectors too, and digital archiving has become necessary for preserving the past and the present. The Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design (MOME) and Tripont offer an opportunity for professional development to digitisation professionals.

Our up-to-date educational programme, which introduces participants to the world of digitisation and archiving, focuses on fundamental topics such as the digitisation process, archiving standards and the latest trends in data management. With the help of the teaching materials and exercises, participants will be able to handle and digitise different types of material effectively.

During the training the participants gain access to the latest technologies and equipment, with which they can practise digitisation processes. Interactive workshops and group work provide the opportunity to apply the knowledge acquired in practice.
