The Hungarian National Museum hosted the traditional MuseumDigit conference this year on 23–25 November, held now for the tenth time. Tripont Cultural Heritage Solutions also took part in the event, presenting our innovative tools and solutions in the field of cultural heritage preservation.

The museum’s imposing halls provided an ideal venue for professional participants and exhibitors alike. With the participation of 36 speakers, the conference consisted of 26 plenary and section presentations in total. At the opening of the conference, Dr Judit Hammerstein, acting Director General of the Hungarian National Museum, and Máté Vincze, Deputy State Secretary of the Ministry of Culture and Innovation, welcomed the participants. This was followed by a substantive professional round-table discussion, in which, moderated by Zsolt Makranczi and with the participation of László L. Simon, Dr Annamária Vígh, Dr Lajos Kemecsi and Dr Andrea Csapláros, those interested discussed the current situation of Hungarian museums. The event attracted not only Hungarian but also international authorities, including Oksana Avramenko, Gonzalo Giordano, Cameron Walter, Elke Kellner and others.

From the Hungarian scene came speakers such as Dr Ágnes Veszelszki, Márton Horn and Benedek Varga, who approached the challenges and future models of the museum field from different aspects.

At the event the Tripont team presented the latest technologies used in the field of heritage preservation, including Phase One’s handheld, reprographic and aerial camera systems, and its digital archive service, Heritage. The equipment and solutions presented aroused great interest among visitors.

The event paid particular attention to the future of museums and the changes in cultural heritage preservation, with special regard to the restart and rethinking after COVID. The event created an opportunity for professional discussions and sharing experience, proving especially important because of last year’s restrictions.

The Tripont team took part in the MuseumDigit conference with pleasure, and we proudly presented the latest technological developments in the museum and heritage fields.
