This is an English translation of the Hungarian original. In the event of any discrepancy, the Hungarian version prevails.

This notice describes what data digitalizalas.eu stores on the visitor’s device (in the browser), or reads from it, and when. The rules on access to the device are based on Section 155(4) of 2003. évi C. törvény (Act C of 2003 on Electronic Communications, “Eht.”) and on the ePrivacy Directive; the processing of personal data is detailed in the Privacy policy.

1. What are a cookie and local storage?

A cookie is a small text file that the website being visited places in the browser. The browser’s local storage (localStorage) serves a similar purpose: the website saves a small piece of data in the browser, which it can read later. EU rules apply to both: strictly necessary storage is permitted even without consent, whereas anything else (for example visitor analytics) requires the visitor’s consent.

2. In brief: what does the site store?

For public visitors, the website does not place any cookies. The language is indicated by the address (e.g. /en/), so no storage is needed for that either. The only data the site saves in the visitor’s browser is your decision made in the cookie bar (see below). Any other storage takes place only at your separate request or after editors log in.

3. The stored data in detail

3.1. Strictly necessary: the consent decision

  • Name: fixli-consent (the browser’s local storage, digitalizalas.eu’s own data).
  • Content: your decision (acceptance or refusal), the version number and the time of the decision.
  • Purpose and legal basis: managing consent, so that we do not ask on every page load. It is strictly necessary for the service you have requested (Section 155(4) of the Eht.), so it does not require separate consent.
  • Duration: 12 months, after which we ask again. If the browser does not allow local storage (e.g. private mode), we ask again on every page load, and no measurement takes place until then.

3.2. With consent: visitor analytics (Plausible Analytics)

  • In the bar that appears at the bottom of the page, the “Accept” and “Decline” buttons are equally weighted; closing the bar counts as a refusal. The measurement script (analytics.fixli.eu) is loaded only after you click “Accept”. If you decline, the browser sends no request to the analytics system.
  • The measurement places no cookies and stores no identifier of its own in the browser. Unique visitors are distinguished on the server, using a non-reversible code that changes daily.
  • The data measured, the legal basis and the retention are set out in section 3.5 of the Privacy policy. Measurement is switched off in the browsers of the site’s staff.
  • Changing or withdrawing your decision: at any time via the “Cookie and analytics settings” link in the footer, as easily as accepting. After withdrawal, the measurement script is no longer loaded from the next page load.

3.3. With consent: external content (on click)

YouTube and Vimeo videos, Sketchfab 3D models and the Google map on the contact page are not loaded when the page is opened. By clicking the load button (this is your consent), your browser connects directly to the provider, which may then – under its own rules – place and read a cookie or local storage:

  • YouTube (Google; youtube-nocookie.com) – may store identifiers and settings related to playback.
  • Vimeo (Vimeo.com, Inc.; player.vimeo.com) – we load it with a “do not track” request, so tracking cookies are disabled; it may store data needed for playback.
  • Google Maps (Google) – when the map is loaded, Google may use cookies and identifiers.
  • Sketchfab (Epic Games group) – may store 3D viewer settings and possibly an identifier.

The lifetime and purpose of such cookies and storage are determined by the providers; this site cannot control them. Their notices: Google, Vimeo, Sketchfab. If you do not click, nothing happens, and the rest of the site can be used without restriction. Section 4 of the Privacy policy covers the data transfer (third country).

3.4. Cookies of the website’s staff

  • Session cookie in the content management system (payload-token): only for editors who log in to the /admin interface; it maintains the logged-in state (HttpOnly, 2-hour session). Strictly necessary.
  • Internal issue reporter (fixli-fb): only for the staff of the website’s operator, after an activation link; it is not created for public visitors. Such a browser is not counted by the measurement either.

4. What does not happen

  • There are no advertising, tracking or profiling cookies, no social media plug-ins and no fingerprinting.
  • On submission, the contact form sends the details of the page opened (language, path, referrer, campaign parameters) together with the enquiry, without storing anything on your device; section 3.1 of the Privacy policy covers this.
  • The counting of accepted enquiries takes place from our server, does not access your device and does not require consent (Privacy policy, section 3.4).
  • Fonts and images are served by our own server, not by an external provider.

5. Managing and deleting stored data

In your browser settings you can at any time view and delete the stored cookies and site data, or block them from being placed. If you delete fixli-consent, the bar appears again. The help pages of the most common browsers contain detailed instructions:

7. Changes to this notice

We publish the version of this notice in force at any given time on this page, together with the version number and the date of the latest update.
