Phase One’s 150 megapixels camera solution greatly simplifies the digitization process, with a faster workflow that means analogue archives can be digitized very quickly.

Historical aerial photographs allow reconstruction of the past and can therefore provide important information for future planning processes. Among the many other applications are the analysis of land use changes over the decades, e.g. for road and urban development.

High accuracy and resolution, speed, and minimal distortion

High-resolution digitization of individual aerial images preserves all the information and fine detail needed to take orthophotos from analogue images.

Improved workflow with the Phase One 150 megapixel camera

With the Linos inspec.x L 4.0/100 mm lens and the Phase One repro tripod, the resolution of 1100 dpi, in addition to 150 megapixels, has been proven not only in theory but also in practice.

The 4.0/100 mm lens delivers consistently excellent image quality. Thanks to its 1:5 aspect ratio and distortion-free display, this lens is ideal for digitizing aerial image archives. The optics are screw-mounted and non-adjustable, guaranteeing the desired repeatability and ease of use.

After set-up, on-site training and optimum workflow design, digitisation is possible at two frames per second with 16-bit colour depth and an easy-to-use yet robust user interface with Capture One CH software to digitise 500 aerial images.
